Oklahoma State houses for rent in Stillwater: what's open right now
Updated: 2 days ago
If you are looking at Oklahoma State houses for rent in Stillwater, the useful question is not what houses in general cost but what is actually listed today and what each listing really says. This guide covers only the houses on our Stillwater listings page right now, using the details each lister entered: the price, bedrooms and bathrooms, whether it is furnished, the lease timing and type, whether it is rented by the room, and the distance by car that the lister selected. Where a listing leaves something out, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Right now you can check out real house listings near Stillwater, including House at $2,000/month, Room open in Frye farms house at $567/month, and 1401 S Lowry at $625/month.
The House Listings in Stillwater Right Now
We currently have three live listings in Stillwater with a property type of House, and all three are flagged as available now in our listing data. They are three quite different things, though: one whole house, one room in a house, and one house that is rented by the room.
The listing titled House is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, unfurnished, on a Year Lease (12 Months) with a start date of 8/1/2026. It is not set up as rent by room, and its price is $2,000/month. Its distance is listed as under 5 minutes by car from campus.
Room open in Frye farms house is, as its title says, a room in a house. The listing shows 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, furnished, on a Year Lease (12 Months), with the timing written as "august 2026-june2027". The price is $567/month and the distance is listed as under 5 minutes by car from campus. Because the title describes a single open room, treat the price as the cost of that room and confirm with the lister what is shared and what is private.
1401 S Lowry is listed as a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, unfurnished, marked as rent by room with a room type of Private Room. Its price is $625/month, its lease is a Year Lease (12 Months), its timing reads "August 2026*" and its distance is listed as 5 to 10 minutes by car from campus. Since it is rented by the room, the $625/month should be read as the price of one private room; ask the lister to confirm, and ask what the asterisk in the lease timing refers to.
Oklahoma State Houses for Rent in Stillwater: Whole House or One Room?
The three Oklahoma State houses for rent in Stillwater on our site right now split into two kinds of search. If you already have a group, the listing titled House is the only whole-house option among them: 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms at $2,000/month, not rented by the room. If the lister confirms that $2,000/month is the rent for the whole house, a three-way split would be about $666.67/month each, before anything the listing does not mention. If you are on your own or one person short of a group, the other two listings are rooms: Room open in Frye farms house at $567/month and a private room at 1401 S Lowry at $625/month.
The furnished field also differs. Room open in Frye farms house is listed as furnished, while House and 1401 S Lowry are listed as unfurnished. For a room in an unfurnished house, ask what is already in the shared spaces and what you would need to bring for your own room.
Renting a house usually brings a few responsibilities that an apartment complex would handle for you, and none of the three listings spells these out in the fields we hold. Ask each lister who looks after the yard, who to call for repairs and how quickly, whether there is parking and how many spaces, and which utilities are in the tenant's name. For the two room listings, also ask who else lives in the house now, how shared costs are divided and how the household handles cleaning and guests. Those answers matter as much as the rent.
Lease timing is the last thing to pin down. All three listings are year leases, and the timing fields are typed by each lister ("8/1/2026", "august 2026-june2027", "August 2026*"). The available-now flag on our site means the listing is currently marked that way; it is not a guarantee that the room or house is still open when you message. Ask for exact start and end dates, and ask whether a mid-lease move-in changes the price.
Tips Before You Sign for a House in Stillwater
Ask whether the price is for the whole house or for one room, and get the answer in writing.
Ask which utilities are included and which go in a tenant's name; the listing fields we hold do not say.
Ask who handles yard care, repairs and maintenance requests, and how to reach them.
Walk through the house before you move in, take dated photos of every room, and keep a copy of the lease and any move-in checklist.
If you are signing with others, agree on how rent and bills are split before anyone signs, and ask whether everyone signs one lease together or each person has their own. That decides what happens if someone leaves early or needs to find a sublease.
Ask about money before move-in too: how much the security deposit is, when it is due, what can be deducted from it at move-out, and how rent is paid each month. None of that is in the listing fields we hold, so the lister is the only one who can tell you. Keep every answer in writing, ideally in the same message thread, so it is easy to find later if there is a disagreement.
Three listings is a small set, and new houses are added as listers post them. Check the listings page again over the next few weeks, and use the price, bedrooms, furnished status, lease timing and distance-by-car details on each listing to compare like with like.
