UO apartments for rent in Eugene: current listings and prices
If you're searching for UO apartments for rent in Eugene this fall, it helps to know what's actually open, and on our site that currently includes two lease takeovers alongside a regular year lease. This post looks at the current listings on our site with a property type of Apartment, using only what each listing states: posted rent, bedrooms and baths, furnishing, lease type, lease timing and Distance by Car to campus. You can browse every current option on our Eugene off-campus listings page.

Three listings meet that apartment rule right now. We've added a fourth as a comparison only, because its listing doesn't give a property type. It's labelled below so you can tell them apart.

The three current apartment listings near UO are Union On Broadway at $1,650/month, Ducks Village Lease Takeover at $676/month, and UO Lease Takeover - Room Available Now at $719/month. For comparison only, there's also Chapter at Eugene at $1,449/month.
Eugene Apartment Listings at a Glance
Union On Broadway is listed at $1,650/month for one bedroom and one bath, furnished, with a Distance by Car of under 5 minutes from campus. It's on a year lease (12 months), and the listing gives the timing as Sept 2026 - Aug 2027. Since that term has already begun, ask whether the unit is open now, what the move-in date would be, and whether rent for the first month is prorated. It's the highest posted rent of the three apartments, so ask what's included in it, such as utilities, internet or parking, before you compare it with the others.
Ducks Village Lease Takeover is a lease takeover listed at $676/month. The listing shows one bedroom and two baths, furnished, with a Distance by Car of more than 10 minutes. It's on a year lease (12 months) with timing of 09/01/26-08/31/27, so you'd be taking over the rest of a lease that's already running through the end of August. Ask the property how the transfer works, whether there's a fee, and what the two baths mean for this particular unit, since a one-bedroom listing with two baths could mean a shared layout.
UO Lease Takeover - Room Available Now is listed at $719/month for one bedroom and one bath, furnished, under 5 minutes by car. Its lease timing is 9/19/2026 and its lease type is 11 months. The title says room, so ask how many people share the unit and which spaces are yours alone. As with any takeover, confirm the end date and the transfer process with the property directly, not only with the current tenant.
Chapter at Eugene is the comparison listing. It's posted at $1,449/month with two bedrooms and two baths, furnished, with a Distance by Car of under 5 minutes, on a year lease (12 months) with a lease timing of 9/1/2026. It doesn't list a property type, so we haven't counted it with the three apartments above. It also isn't marked as rent by room, so if you're planning to share it, confirm with the landlord whether the posted price covers the whole unit.
All four are furnished, and three of the four are under 5 minutes by car. The posted rents in the apartment group run from $676/month to $1,650/month, which is a wide spread for listings that each show one bedroom. The difference often comes down to what's included and if you're renting a whole unit or one room in it, so ask before you rule anything in or out.
UO apartments for rent in Eugene: Takeovers, Terms and Timing
UO apartments for rent in Eugene on our site right now lean heavily on takeovers. Two of the three apartment listings here are lease takeovers, and that changes what you should check. You're not negotiating a fresh lease; you're stepping into terms that someone else already signed. Ask the property for a copy of the lease you'd be taking over, and read the end date, the rent, any monthly fees and the renewal terms yourself. Ask whether the property has to approve you as the new tenant, what that approval involves, how long it takes, and whether there's a transfer fee and who pays it.
Next, look at the deposit. On a takeover, the original tenant's deposit may stay with the property or be handled between the two of you, so ask exactly how that works and get it in writing. Ask which utilities are included and which you'd set up yourself, and whether internet and parking cost extra. If the unit is shared, ask how roommates were placed, how shared costs are split, and what happens if someone moves out before the lease ends.
Lease length matters too. The listings here include year leases (12 months) and one 11 month term, and the Ducks Village takeover runs to 08/31/27. If you'll be away for the summer, ask whether subletting is allowed so you're not paying for months you don't use, and what the rules and fees are if you want to do that. Put any agreement about subletting, move-in dates or repairs in the lease or a signed addendum, so you and the property are working from the same terms.
Tips for Renting an Apartment Near UO
Read the actual lease on a takeover. Ask for the full document before you agree, and check the end date, monthly fees and renewal terms against what the listing says.
Confirm what the price covers. Ask whether rent is for a whole unit or one room, and which utilities, internet and parking are included.
Use Distance by Car to plan your commute. Three of these listings are under 5 minutes by car and one is more than 10 minutes, so ask about parking at the building and plan for parking on campus too.
Ask what furnished includes. All four listings are furnished, but our listings don't say what the furniture is, so request an item list in writing.
