We keep this to facts we hold. That means the rents students quoted in their own posts, clearly labelled as such, and the fields on our own listings. We do not hold walk times, shuttle schedules or building details beyond those, so we do not quote any.

For wider context, a local UCF student housing group had 39 new posts analyzed for Oct 12-16 2026. Across those student posts, the median rent people quoted was $915 per person. That figure comes from students' own posts, not from our listings, so treat it as a sense of what people were asking, not a market rate. In the same posts, 77% were about a sublease or lease takeover, and 4x4 was the floor plan named most often, in 9 posts.

Knights Circle UCF 4x4 sublease: the rents students quote

Here is everything we hold from student posts on a Knights Circle UCF 4x4 sublease. In the Oct 12-16 2026 posts from that local student housing group, Knights Circle was named in 7 posts. The rents students quoted in those posts were $960, $965 and $1,065. The floor plans they named were 2x2, 4 bedroom and 4x4. The amenities they named were a dryer, washer, fitness and gym, a pool, parking, a shuttle, furnished units and utilities included. Those are what posters wrote, not facts we have checked against the property, so ask the lister to confirm any of them that matter to you.

That is the full picture. We do not have a breakdown of which quoted rent was for which floor plan, and we will not guess one. If you are comparing a room in a 4x4 against a 2x2, ask each lister for the per-bedroom price, the lease end date and what is billed on top.

On the process side, a sublease and a relet work differently. In a sublease, the original tenant usually stays responsible and you pay under their lease. In a relet or takeover, the property usually moves the lease into your name after its own application. Ask which you are being offered, and get the property office to confirm it in writing.

In a 4x4 you would usually share the kitchen and living space with up to three others you may not have met. Ask the lister whether rooms are leased individually or as one joint lease for the whole unit, because that decides whether someone else's missed payment can affect you.

Timing is the last piece. The Knights Circle listings above show lease timings of Aug 2026 - July 2027, Aug 2026- Aug 2027, 06/2026 - 07/2027 and September to July, and only the first two are marked available now. Before you plan a move, message each lister to ask whether the room is still open, the exact date you could move in, and the date the lease ends. If you need a place only for spring, say so up front, because a lister handing over a full year may prefer someone who will take the remaining term.

Keep a written record of everything: the listing page, your messages with the lister, the property office's approval and the lease you sign. If a question about rent, fees, furniture or the deposit comes up later, those records are what you will rely on.

Tips before you take over a 4x4 room

  • Ask whether the room is on an individual lease or a joint lease for the whole unit, and get the answer in writing.

  • Confirm the per-bedroom price, the lease end date and every fee or utility charge that is added on top of rent.

  • Ask the property office to approve any relet or sublease in writing, and whether a transfer fee applies, before you send money.

  • Get a written list of the furniture in your room and the shared areas, and photograph everything on move-in day.
