The University Corridor along Alafaya Trail and University Blvd is where the majority of UCF students live off campus. This area is densely packed with purpose-built student housing communities, apartment complexes, and everything students need within a short drive or shuttle ride from campus.

Oviedo is a suburb just north of campus with a quieter, more residential feel. It's popular with students who want more space and a calmer environment. Oviedo on the Park offers a walkable town center with dining and entertainment options.

East Orlando neighborhoods like Waterford Lakes and Avalon Park are further from campus but offer newer apartment complexes and townhomes at competitive prices. Best for students with cars who don't mind a 15–20 minute commute.

Life off campus near UCF is car-dependent — Orlando is a sprawling city and the campus sits on its eastern edge, away from most of the city's central activity. UCF does run a free campus shuttle (Pegasus Express) that connects to nearby apartment communities and the surrounding corridor.
